News from Keith Preston
Although many golf projects in Austria and Germany have
been put on the "back burner" for the time
being,
there are still a number of projects under discussion.
Even though the economic climate has cooled things down
somewhat, the Czech Republic remains an active market.
This autumn, 9 holes of the Albatross Golf Course, a new,
great championship course near Prague, have already been
playable for the first time. The grand opening of all 18
holes will be in spring 2010. This course will no doubt
rival the Ypsilon Golf Resort in Liberec designed by us
a few years ago which, since it’s opening, has been
voted the best and
most challenging course in the Czech
republic.
Also in the Czech Republic, in Pysely, just south of Prague,
in an area of great natural beauty, we have planned a new ‘family’ golf
course. We are delighted that the UVP went through very
quickly and construction is due to start 2010.
We are presently working on the renovation and re-design
of a course near St. Gallen in Switzerland. The laws and
rules of this Canton for the environmental study are very
clear and transparent but never the less require time and
patience.
